BEACHES OF KALYMNOS

Therma: organized pebbly beach with rocks and a deck for diving.

Platys Gialos: crystal clear waters, black sand and a fabulous sun set. Ideal for fishing.
Myrties: popular beach with shallow waters, umbrellas, sun beds, restaurants and coffee shops. From here you can take the boat to islet Telendos.
Arginonta: beautiful beach, northwest of Kalymnos with pebbles, crystal blue-emerand waters and trees for natural shade.
Kalamies: here you can swim in calm waters and take the canoe kayak to enjoy the sea in wild scenery.

ACTIVITIES AND SIGHTS IN KALYMNOS
Pothia is the port and the capital of Kalymnos, here you can admire the mansions, visit the “Kalimniko Spiti” , a wonderful Cultural Museum, the exquisite Archaeological Museum and the Marine museum to learn the nautical tradition of the island. In Pothia you can see the famous statue of “Kyra tis Kalymnou”, while the view up from the castle of Chrysocherias and the castle of Chora is insurmountable. Also visit the monastery of Agios Savvas and other beautiful little churches around. In Vathy you will find a green valley full of citrus trees that ends to the small port of Rina with its beautiful fiord.
Masouri, Panormos and Myrties are also picturesque settlements that you should visit. Strolling through the alleys, with delicious food and many choices for entertainment and places to stay.
In the south you will find Vlychadia, in the north, Emporeio and in Argos you will meet the most important Byzantine church of Kalymnos, Agioi Apostoloi.
Climbing on the rocks of Kalymnos is popular worldwide. Every year there is a climbing festival that gathers many climbers from all over the world. Countless paths are waiting for you in beautiful natural scenery.
If you prefer mountain hiking, the routing Pothia-Vathy or Kantouni-Agios Fotis are well known hiking routings.
In Kalymnos, the sea activities are countless. You can start with diving and explore the rich bottom of the island sea. There are many organized diving centers that offer diving in shipwrecks and underwater caves for a unique underwater experience. Take the boat from the gulf of Myrtion and go to Telendos islet.
